NORTH FORT MYERS,
Fla., -- Southwest Florida Yachts has added JuBaLi,
a Krogen Manatee 36 trawler, to its fleet of charter
vessels for cruising and corporate training.
Based at Marinatown Marina
in North Fort Myers, JuBaLi features a
shallow draft which makes her ideal for cruising
the Gulf of Mexico and its famous barrier island
waters from Naples to Charlotte Harbor, said Capt.
Barb Hansen of Southwest Florida Yachts.
Powered by a single diesel
engine with bow thruster, the newest vessel in
the fleet has two double cabins, head with shower,
air conditioning, heater, upright refrigerator
and freezer, electric stove, stereo CD player,
color television and VCR, a global positioning
system, plus an outboard-powered dinghy.
"JuBaLi has
the spacious livability of a much larger vessel,"
said Hansen. "She is built in the fine tradition
of Kadey-Krogen Yachts with fine teak joiner work
and cabinetry. We believe JuBaLi is ideal
for one or two cruising couples or a family."
Southwest Florida Yachts
charters its vessels bareboat or with skippers
for cruises of three days or more on the Gulf
Intracoastal Waterway and inside the barrier islands
of Southwest Florida. JuBaLi charters for
$2,699 per week in the winter, $2,158 per week
in the summer.
JuBaLi joins
ten other motor vessels, including eight Grand
Banks trawlers and motoryachts from 32 to 42 feet,
a Bayliner 39 motoryacht, a Spindrift 40 motoryacht,
and another Krogen, a 42-foot pilothouse trawler
yacht. The company, now in its 18th year, also
charters a fleet of sailing vessels out of Burnt
Store Marina, Punta Gorda.
Southwest Florida Yachts
has a sister division, Florida Sailing and Cruising
School, which offers 25 sailing and power courses
for beginning, intermediate and advanced mariners.
