Southwest Florida Yachts Adds "Downeast" Charter Yacht
NORTH
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Southwest Florida Yachts has added an
Albin 28 Tournament Express yacht to its charter fleet for
customers who may want to include pleasure fishing with
their cruising.
Cruising comfort features for Sea Shell II include
sleeping accommodations for four persons, enclosed shower
and head, air conditioning, stove, refrigerator and
microwave. For anglers, the Albin 28 has a live well for
bait, rod holders, plus radar and a Global Positioning
System (GPS) unit for dead-aim navigation to productive
fishing spots.
Barb
Hansen, owner-manager of the yacht charter company, said
the yacht is powered by an economical diesel engine with a
fuel tank that holds a generous 162 gallons. It's
semi-displacement "Downeast" design helps guarantee a
smooth trip even in sizeable waves.
Sea
Shell II charters for only $395 the first day during the
high season and $300 a day for each additional day. Summer
charter rates are $315 for the first day and only $250 a
day thereafter.
With a
28-foot length, Sea Shell II is the shortest power vessel
in the fleet, most of which are luxury trawler designs
from 32 to 42 feet in length. Founded in 1984, Southwest
Florida Yachts charters power yachts from Marinatown
Marina in N. Fort Myers and sailing yachts from 24 to 35
feet out of Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda.
Magazine articles have ranked Southwest Florida among the
top ten yacht sailing and cruising areas in the world and
the barrier islands of Sanibel and Captiva among the best
islands to visit for their ambiance, beaches,
friendliness, restaurants and scenery. For
