Sailing Catamaran Added to
SWF Yachts Charter Fleet

MYERS, Fla. – Southwest Florida Yachts has expanded
its chartering fleet with a 35-foot sailing
catamaran that has more space and comfort than
mono-hulls plus performance potential that equals or
exceeds mono-hulls.
Firenze, a Packet Cat 35 manufactured by Island
Packet Yachts, features two cabins, two heads, a
large settee, and a complete galley, making it
suitable for four to six passengers, said Barb
Hansen, founder and manager of the longtime
chartering firm.
Hansen said Firenze amenities also include twin
27-hp Yanmar diesel engines, wheel steering,
autopilot, shore power system, air conditioning,
refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, Bimini top,
cockpit shower, GPS navigation, and dinghy with
outboard motor.
Firenze charters for $2,738 for seven days in
winter’s high season and only $2,111 in the summer
for sailing and cruising in Gulf of Mexico and
Charlotte Harbor and for exploring the celebrated
Gulf barrier islands of Sanibel, Captiva, Cayo
Costa, Gasparilla, Useppa and many others from Punta
Gorda to Fort Myers.
Other vessels in the SWFY sailing fleet, chartering
from $1,017 to $1,498 for three days, are a Hunter
29 sloop, Catalina 32 sloop, Island Packet 32,
Catalina 34 Sloop and a Hunter 34 sloop. In
addition, the company charters a 24-foot day sailor
for $225 per day
Southwest Florida Yachts’ sailing fleet from 24 to
35-feet is located at Burnt Store Marina, Punta
Gorda. Its power-yacht fleet, based at Marinatown
Marina, N. Fort Myers, includes a Linssen 32
trawler, Grand Banks 32 trawler, Mainship 34,
Mainship 39, Grand Banks 36 trawler, Jefferson 42
Motor Yacht, a 40-foot Carver Motor Yacht, and three
42-foot Grand Banks trawlers.
Barb and Vic Hansen founded Southwest Florida Yachts
in 1984. They also manage Florida Sailing & Cruising
