NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla., January 7, 2010 –
Southwest Florida Yachts (SWFY) has added a
Jeanneau Prestige 36 motoryacht to its charter
fleet for cruising the scenic waterways framed by
celebrated ports of call like Sanibel, Captiva,
Pine, Useppa and Cayo Costa islands.
Barb Hansen, owner and manager of the yacht
chartering firm, said the newest vessel in the
fleet, LADY LYN, provides roomy and well-appointed
accommodations for four adults with the expansive
owner's cabin forward and a starboard side guest
cabin.
Moving aft you will find the large salon and a
galley with refrigerator, microwave and a
three-burner stove. Other features include a
bathroom and exterior shower. The fly bridge
overhead features side-by-side captains chairs,
L-style guest seating, dining table and sunbathing
area.
Twin Volvo diesel engines power the Lady Lyn
smoothly and efficiently, Hansen said. Operation
and navigational instrumentation include
radar/plotter GPS, autopilot, sonar, temperature
gauges, speedometer and VHF marine radio. Creature
comfort amenities include air conditioning, TV and
a stereo CD player. An outboard-powered dinghy
provides handy access to terra firma from
anchorages.
Lady Lyn joins the power fleet with vessels from
28 to 43 feet at Marinatown Marina in N. Fort
Myers. Founded in 1984, Southwest Florida Yachts
also charters sailing yachts from 24 to 34 feet,
including catamarans, out of Burnt Store Marina in
Punta Gorda.
Extra Cruising Days
Hansen said Lady Lyn will charter for $4,090 for
one week in the winter and $3,273 in the summer.
Through 2010 Southwest Florida Yachts, celebrating
its 25th anniversary, is awarding charters extra
cruising days. For each cruise of three days or
more charters receive two free days when cruising
between May 1 and Dec. 14 and one free day for
cruises between Dec. 15 and April 30.
Southwest Florida has been ranked among the top
ten yacht sailing and cruising areas in the world
and the barrier islands of Sanibel and Captiva
have scored as the best islands to visit for their
ambiance, beaches, friendliness, restaurants and
scenery.
