She's
been a great lady, the perfect hostess; beautiful,
yet strong. She's offered her guests both
fun and adventure! Now it's time for "Silent
Joy", our Pearson 424 Ketch, to offer
her owners a retirement home afloat! After
15 years in our fleet, Dick and Pat Corlett
of California plan to go cruising! SFY will
still be "home" to this classic
ketch, but "Silent Joy" will no
longer be offered for charter. Dick and Pat
plan to cruise aboard the boat part of the
year and "cruise" in their motor
home on land part of the year. When people
ask us why people put boats in our fleet,
the Corlett's are a perfect example. They
had their "dream" boat, but weren't
able to use her while they were working, except
during their 1-2 week vacations every year
or so. And they didn't want to sell the boat,
as it would have cost twice as much to replace
the boat today! For 15 years, the charter
checks helped cover the costs and now they
have a beautiful yacht in which they can enjoy
their retirement! Happy Sailing, Dick &
Pat!
The
Perfect "Floating" Retirement Plan
Whether you are two or ten years away from
retirement, why not consider purchasing your
dream boat now. The cost of buying a yacht
is only going to increase in the years to
come. Furthermore, you can plan to pay off
the boat during your working years while the
charter revenue helps cover the cost of maintaining
and upgrading the vessel. Under SFY Management
your investment will be protected and, come
retirement time, you'll have a lovely yacht
to enjoy.
